A stunning work inspired by the famous Ardabil carpet/rug housed in the Victoria-Albert Museum. The turquoise green of the field is adorned with a round medallion that has sixteen leaves and two lamps. Other colours primarily include brick, beige and tan. Small Iris, rose and palmette motifs that are connected to each other through scrolling vines are spread across the field of the rug/carpet. The four corners of the field have a quadrant of the central medallion adorning it. Cartouche shaped motifs are spread in a linear manner throughout the border of the rug/carpet. This is a silk on silk rug/carpet where both the pile and warp are made of silk. This extremely fine silk rug/carpet will enhance any kind of decor and is a heritage piece.
The rug/carpet is readily available to ship. The rug is hand-knotted.
