This stunning Kashmiri silk carpet/rug is inspired by the Ardebil carpet that is in the Victoria Albert museum in London. It has a 16 point star medallion placed in a field surrounded by small flowers. The border has multiple cartouches spread throughout. The primary colours used on the carpet are purple, brown and gold. It is a silk on silk carpet which means that both the warp and pile are made of silk. It is an extremely fine carpet with a high number of knots.
