A stunning semi antique Afghani Kilim which dates back to circa 1950 that makes it approximately 70 years old. It has two large lozenge style central medallions that are angular in nature giving it a stylized appearance. The unique feature of the kilim is that it is warped and has a natural abrash(colouration). Both the Warp,Weft and the Pile are made from locally sourced wool which are dyed using natural materials. Colours include mainly red, beige, orange, rust, blue and green. As is the case with other tribal carpets/rugs, it is an extremely rare piece of art. This beautiful carpet/rug is a great addition to a modern or traditional decor.
