This stunning rug was made between 1850-1870 which makes it approximately 170 years old. It was made by the salor who are a sub tribe of the Turkoman. The rug has the salor Gul that is used throughout the rug in a linear manner. The natural abrash in the rug is due to the use of organic dyes and locally procured wool, this gives it a very rustic look that can add a dash of exuberance in any decor. The Socio-Ethnographic conditions that existed at the time of making this are non existant today, these are extremely rare and sought after rugs.
