A rustic Baloch carpet/rug with an all-over pattern. The Holbein motif being the primary motif that is repeated in the field. It is a very popular Turkoman motif made famous in Europe during the 1600s. The carpet/rug is unique because it uses sedate colours instead of the brighter colours the Holbein pattern was traditionally woven with. Typical of Baloch carpets/rugs, it has soft and lustrous wool with traditional vegetable dyes. The primary colours include navy blue, orange and pink-red. It goes well with traditional as well as contemporary decors owing to its geometrical nature.
