As the name suggests thus carpet/rug was made in Afghanistan. The style or inspiration of the carpet/rug is taken from the Sarouk carpets/rugs of Persia. It has a central medallion that is surrounded by stylized versions of the rose and iris motif which is placed on a pink-red field. The other colours include black, brown, green and beige. The medallion is placed slighly off the centre of the carpet/rug which is a very endearing mistake from the tribal people who made it. Hand spun wool is used in the weaving of the carpet/rug.
