A fine wool tribal rug made by the nomadic Turkoman tribe. The tribal version of the Tree of life motif is used on this carpet. The wool used on the carpet is fine hand spun wool taken from sheeps reared by the Turkoman and the dyes used are obtained from flowers, vegetables and stones found in the area. The rug is soft and pliable. The colours used on the rug are red, brown, blue, orange and beige.
