This old world Turkoman rug was made in circa 1920. It was probably made by the Suleimani, a sub tribe of the Ersari. It has gols that are placed in series one afte the other through the field rug with a simple border design. The wool used in the rug is extremely soft and has a slight lustre to it. The dyes used in the rug are all naturally obtiained and produced locally by the nomadic tribe. The Socio-Ethnographic conditions that existed at the time of making this are non existant today, these are extremely rare and sought after rugs.
