A fine wool tribal rug made by the nomadic Turkoman tribe, it has a unique vase pattern. A vase is placed over the other and a florat motif emerges from the one above. This is a uni directional rug. The wool used on the carpet is fine hand spun wool taken from sheeps reared by the Turkoman and the dyes used are obtained from flowers, vegetables and stones found in the area. It is very tighly woven rug with a rather unusual but high knot count signifying exrermely high quality workmanship. The colours used on the rug are red, brown, blue, orange and beige.
