Made in the first quarter of the 20th century, this beautiful Sistan Baloch rug is in pristine condition. The unidirectional design of the rug indicates that it was made as a prayer mat. The geometrical motifs and colours of the rugs remind one of caucasian rugs. It has a tree/shrub like motif repeated in different sizes throughout the carept. The colours used on the rug are red, yellow, green, blue, grey, off-white and black.
This is a very rare and collectible piece of art.
