An antique Kilim probably made by the Qashqai tribe that distribute their rugs at Shiraz. The size of the kilim indicates that it was probably made for an important event like a wedding at the time. Fine hand-spun wool is jused on the kilim and the warp has undyed natural coloured wool. The colours used on the kilim are orange, beige, cream, maroon and black. The socio ethnigraphic conditions that existed at the time of making this rug are almost non existant today.
