A beautiful rug made by the Taimani tribe of Central Afghanistan during the 1980s which makes it approximately 40 years old. Stylized versions of flowers and vines make up the field and border of the rug. Both the Warp,Weft and the Pile are made from locally sourced wool which are made from natural dyes. Colours include mainly red, beige, pink/grey and blue. As is the case with other tribal carpets/rugs, it is an extremely rare piece of art. This beautiful carpet/rug is a great addition to a modern or traditional decor.
