A beautiful rug made by the Taimani tribe of Central Afghanistan during the 1970s which makes it approximately 50 years old. The motifs used in the carpet/rug are very stylized versions of traditional flowers and geometric motifs, the unique feature of the rug is that it has a single large medallion like traditional persian rugs/carpets. Both the Warp,Weft and the Pile are made from locally sourced wool which are made from natural dyes. Colours include mainly red, beige, pink/grey and blue. As is the case with other tribal carpets/rugs, it is an extremely rare piece of art. This beautiful carpet/rug is a great addition to a modern or traditional decor
