This is a Nakhunak rug made by the Aimaq tribe of Afghanistan. Often referred to as 3D rugs as it is a combination of piled and flat weave carpet. The design is geometric in nature with diamond shaped baklava motifs that are spread throughout the rug.Colours include off-white, red and blue. Both the Warp,Weft and the Pile are made from locally sourced wool which are dyed using natural materials. This beautiful carpet/rug is a great addition to a modern or traditional decor.
