This is a beautiful Kashmiri silk carpet has an all over pattern. Palmette, Rose and Peony motifs are spread throughout the field of the carpet in a linear manner. Each of these are connected to each other by scrolling vines. The rest of the field is filled small millifleurs. The primary colours used on the carpet are dark blue, light blue, Beige, sea green and brown. It is a silk on silk carpet which means that both the pile and warp are made of silk. The silk used in the carpet is extremely fine mulberry silk. The carpet has an extremely high knot count.
