A beautiful rug made by the Taimani tribe of Central Afghanistan during the 1970s which makes it approximately 50 years old. It has a tree of life design that is extremely popular in the carpet/rug world. The unique feature of the rug is that two tree of life motifs are used as reflections of each other. Both the Warp,Weft and the Pile are made from locally sourced wool which are made from natural dyes. Colours include mainly red, beige,yellow, pink/grey and blue. As is the case with other tribal carpets/rugs, it is an extremely rare piece of art. This beautiful carpet/rug is a great addition to a modern or traditional decor.
